The MuseIT consortium comprises 9 partners from European Union member countries and 2 associated partners, from the USA and the United Kingdom. 
This multidisciplinary consortium brings together organisations from cultural, technological, research and user communities.

The University of Borås, or Högskolan i Borås, is a Swedish university college in the city of Borås. It was founded in 1977 and as of 2021 has around 18,300 students and 803 staff. The internationally renowned Swedish School of Library and Information Science and Swedish School of Textiles are part of the university and are both represented within the MuseIT project.

 

The University of Borås is coordinating the MuseIT project. Their role is also to engage with users of cultural institutions and users affected by disability, to define their needs and involve them in a participatory co-design process.

Catalink Limited is a Software Development SME founded in 2017. The company designs and develops complex cyber-physical systems targeted for data stream analytics, business automation, security, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction. The company has established a multi-disciplinary team, offering expertise in data science, machine learning, semantic technologies, performance optimization, multimedia analysis, situational awareness, as well as project management.

Catalink Limited organises and manages data using artificial intelligence to create a creative space accessible to all.

The Information Technologies Institute (ITI) was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Greek Ministry of Development, with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 2000 it is a founding member of the CERTH. CERTH/ITI is one of the leading Institutions of Greece in the fields of Informatics, Telematics and Telecommunications, with long experience in numerous European and national R&D projects.

CERTH is responsible for the development of tools that will allow users to access, create and interact with different multi-sensory representations of the cultural assets.

EXUS AI Labs, the R&D department of EXUS, is where we design and develop robust and trustworthy AI solutions that allow us to leverage the untapped potential of big data analytics across multiple verticals. For more than 25 years, EXUS has gained substantial experience in managing research activities, from the ideation to the realization phase, taking advantage of a highly professional and diverse team.

EXUS AI Labs role is to bring together, to integrate, in a single platform, the various functionalities and components developed by the other partners throughout the project. They ensure coherence and connections between the partners'achievements.

ShareMusic & Performing Arts is a national knowledge center for artistic development and inclusion. They work for everyone's right to experience, participate in and create artistic and cultural activities. Their activities are based on human rights and the equal value of all people.  They operate throughout Sweden and internationally.

​

ShareMusic & Performing Arts is responsible for the development of co-creation services for shared (and intangible) cultural engagements. In other words: an accessible digital platform where creators can co-create in real time, remotely and in immersion.

Michael Culture Association (MCA)

MCA is a not-for-profit organisation AISBL created in 2007. It is the only European trans sectorial network for Cultural Heritage. Devoted to European cultural heritage valorization, MCA gathers members and experts from over 150 cultural institutions private and public - museums, libraries, archives, research centers - ministries of Culture from 22 countries from EU and beyond, of which many represent cultural operators at the national level.

​

MCA manages the communication and dissemination of the project. Their aim is to raise awareness of the project, its partners and their work, and to disseminate the results, especially to the target communities: people with disabilities and cultural institutions.

Based on more than 30 years of research by our co-founder, Vincent Hayward, Actronika has developed haptic technologies that enable tactile feedback to be seamlessly integrated in human-machine interfaces. Actronika's technologies can be integrated in a plethora of devices, such as smartphones to enhance the user experience, vehicle touchscreens to curb distraction while driving, game controllers to improve immersion.By developing technologies that use vibrations to create tactile sensations, they are designing new ways of accessing digital content and enhancing user immersion.


Actronika's expertise will enable the development of multi-sensory representations of cultural objects.

DANS is the Dutch National Expertise Centre and Research Data Repository. DANS is one of the leading European data repositories, and is under the roof of the Royal Netherlands Academy for Arts and Sciences/Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen.

DANS is responsible for data management and also makes a number of technological contributions.

Leland Stanford Junior University, better known as Stanford University, is a private American university located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Opened in 1891, it now has over 16,000 students. It was involved in the development of the Internet. It is ranked among the best universities in the world.

Stanford brings to the MuseIT project its expertise in the field of telematic music, in other words, live online performances

King's College London is a public research university located in London. Founded in 1829 by King George IV and the Duke of Wellington, King's College is one of the oldest and richest universities in England. It has over 33,000 students from more than 150 countries around the world.

King's College London is developing multi-sensory and multi-layered representations of tangible and intangible cultural heritage assets. Their aim is to determine the organisation and processing of this data through the use of artificial intelligence.

United Kingdom

​

X-System has developed technology to model the effect of music on the human brain. Our first application is to select music as a treatment for intractable epilepsies and we expect to go on to treat insomnia, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic depression.
